KDKA-TV Weekend Forecast (4/20)

YOU KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE YOU CAN REUSE THINGS LIKE THAT. EVEN WHEN IT COMES TO THROWING THINGS AWAY. 22 VENDORS CAME OUT FOR THE FUTURE FAST, MAKING IT THE BIGGEST ONE ON RECORD.> VERY CHANGEABLE DAY WEATHERWISE, AND WE'VE BEEN WATCHING A LOT OF IT THIS EVENING ON OUR TOWER CAMERA, YOU CAN SEE OVER IT PNC PARK, THE TARPS ON THE FIELD, WE STILL HAVE A FEW FANS IN THE STANDS, WE WATCH THE SKY DARKENED, HEAVY RAIN GO THROUGH, THE CAMERA SHAKING IN THE WIND, NOW WE ARE WAITING TO SEE SOMETHING A LITTLE BIT BRIGHTER.

THE CELLS ARE MOVING OUT, THE TEMPERATURE HAS DROPPED, AND NOW IT'S ONLY 55 DOWNTOWN. NEWCASTLE IS AT 60, JOHNSTOWN INDIANA, 61, IT'S 55 IN WASHINGTON, 53 IN DONORA, SOMERSET STILL HANGING ON TO 60 DEGREES. SO LET'S TRACK WHERE THE RAIN IS NOW, AND WHERE IT'S GOING.

WE HAVE THIS LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT REALLY BUBBLED UP, AGAIN, JUST LIKE WE SAW EARLY THIS MORNING, FROM SOUTH TO NORTH NOW THE DIFFERENCE THIS AFTERNOON IS THAT WE HAD THAT DAYTIME HEATING, SO WE HAD SOME CONVECTION BUBBLING UP INTO THUNDERSTORMS. LOTS OF LIGHTNING AND HAIL, WE HAD SEVERAL REPORTS OF HAIL ANYWHERE THE SIZE OF A QUARTER TO A NICKEL, EVEN WE'VE HAD MARBLE SIZED HAIL REPORTED IN MORGANTOWN. HERE'S THE LATEST FROM SOME OF THESE CLOSE-UP SHOTS, FROM BEAVER ON DOWN TO 79, AND WE ARE STILL LOOKING AT SOME FAIRLY STEADY RAIN. AND THEN A LITTLE BIT OF LIGHTER ACTIVITY DOWN TO THE SOUTH. BUT NORTHERN BUTLER COUNTY, A CELL THAT IS PRETTY STEADY, AND DROPPING SOME PRETTY HEAVY RAIN, THAT'S MOVING PRETTY QUICKLY. UP AGAIN, TO THE NORTH, AND ONE LAST STOP DOWN TO THE SOUTH AREAS FROM UNIONTOWN DOWN ALONG ROUTE 40 DOWN TO THE MARYLAND LINE GETTING SOME SHOWERS, ALONG WITH WESTERN GREENE COUNTY, DOWN INTO THE SOUTHWESTERN CORNER OF THE STATE. SO ALL OF THIS AGAIN, IS MOVING IN AN UNUSUAL DIRECTION FOR US. SORT OF SPIRALING AROUND, KIND OF LIKE A SPINNING WHEEL, THE SPOKES IN THE WHEEL OF ENERGY CAME THROUGH, WE HAD ONE THIS MORNING, AND NOW THE SECOND SPOKE IS COMING THROUGH.

THIS WILL BE THE LAST OF IT. THIS CONVECTION WILL DIE OUT WITH THE SUN GOING DOWN, THE HEATING OF THE DAY, WE WILL LOSE THAT, AND WE WILL JUST HAVE SHOWERS AND SOME STEADIER RAIN AT TIMES, MOVING THROUGH THE AREA, AND WILL ALL MOVE OUT OF HERE BY THE BETTER PART OF EASTER. SO HERE'S FUTURE CAST WITH THE TIMING, YOU SEE HER THIS SHRINKING, BUT BY 10 AM WE ARE ALL BUT DONE WITH THE SHOWERS, UNTIL RIGHT AROUND FIVE, 6 AM, WE COULD SEE A LEFTOVER SPRINKLE, SO SUNRAYS SERVICES, YOU MAY SEE A WEAK SHOWER, BY SEVEN, 8 AM, THEY WILL MOVE OUT. AND BY THE NEW MASSES FOR EASTER SUNDAY, DRY BUT STILL MAINLY CLOUDY, WE COULD GET SOME BREAKS OF SUNSHINE, BUT WE WILL CALL FOR MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES THROUGH MONDAY MORNING, AND THEN BY NOON ON MONDAY, WE CLEAR OUT AND WE FINALLY GET SOME SUNSHINE. SO HERE'S YOUR FORECAST FOR TONIGHT, THUNDERSTORMS TAPERING OFF TO SHOWERS, 45, YOUR OVERNIGHT LOW. IT WON'T WARM UP THAT MUCH TOMORROW, EARLY SHOWERS, CLOUDY AND COOL, 58 FOR AN AFTERNOON HIGH. WE ARE LOOKING AT 58 TOMORROW, 71 AND SUNNY FOR MONDAY, TUESDAY, 75, WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY, STILL IN THE 70s, BUT SHOWERS RETURN ON WEDNESDAY, .
